CASHMERE
The finest, warmest and most precious natural wool.
The rarest cashmere in the world: we found it 8,350 kilometres away.
Cashmere – the treasure from the former Kashmir kingdom is among the most precious materials in the world – and the most expensive. The downy under hair of the cashmere goat is not just uniquely elegant but also extremely rare.
It is even rarer in the quality our bed-makers demand: with a circumference of only 15 to 19 micrometres and a length of 25 to 90 millimetres. Finer than fine, purer than pure: premium quality without addition of sheep or merino wool.
To achieve this we travel from Zürich to Mongolia because for the finest and most elegant wool worldwide no distance is too far. It is the exceptionally harsh climate of the Central Asian state that lets the goat’s wool get so soft. It is among the harshest worldwide with temperatures of -25 degrees in the winter time and only 20 degrees in the summer time.
In short, here nature does everything to create a dream material of unsurpassable softness. Our bed-maker masters help by sourcing from the only producer worldwide who can adhere to the exceptionally high quality guidelines that satisfies their demands.
After looking for a long time we found him in the Italian Piemont. Here the wool is skilfully spun to masterpieces made of cashmere and baby cashmere. After all, this is the only way the finest wool in the world can show its best properties: to be unbeatably soft and to heat a lot with only little weight.
For that we would travel even more than 8530 kilometres.
